Visitors & New Members
Assimilating visitors and new members into our faith community so they feel at home at Trinity is an important role each member assumes. There is nothing like a friendly hello and a warm smile to a visitor. Members of Trinity’s Visitors and New Members Committee call visitors and prepare, with the ministers, the New Member Orientation classes that are held two to three times a year. A shepherding program to assist new members in getting them involved in the work, worship, and fellowship of our church family is also a responsibility of this committee and other volunteers.
Regular visitors who indicate an interest in joining are contacted by volunteers and invited to the next New Members Class; volunteers act as greeters before each Sunday service to welcome people as they enter the church; they prepare materials for the new member classes; they become shepherds for new members, and assist with the new member breakfast held at the end of each new member class. You can volunteer for one or several of these activities as your schedule allows. If you are interested or want more information about any of these activities, please contact new_member_chr@trinityherndon.org.
