Shine
Matthew 5:16 - Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to God. Shine is our new time for children to worship God, have fellowship with one another and serve God together as a group before beginning their Sunday School class. Shine is your child's opportunity to experience and express how God is working in their life right now. Join us as we raise the praise to God!
Shine begins at 9:35 a.m. and ends between 9:45-9:50 a.m. each Sunday in rooms 31 & 33 on the third floor. Immediately following Shine, your child’s Sunday School teacher will take their class to their assigned SS room and begin the Sunday School lesson for the day. You may pick up your child at the end of Sunday School at 10:45 a.m. from their assigned Sunday School classroom. Shine follows the regular Sunday School calendar, on weeks when there is no Sunday School there is also no Shine.
Kairos ProjectIn Shine, we have been working on placemats for the Kairos Project. Each week we have been drawing something on a placemat. These placemats were dedicated on November 25, 2012, at the 11 a.m. Worship service. The purpose of these placemats are to show those people being ministered to by the Kairos Project that they are loved and God cares for them. Below is a video ("Shine - Kairos Project") of some of the placemats made by the kids in Shine. Additionally there is a video that shows the placemats the kids drew to show what God might look like. We hope you will enjoy them.
