YOU’RE FAMILY HERE
What To Expect
Congregational worship is Trinity’s central activity, where our life together begins. Friendships are formed, we draw closer to God and each other, and are inspired and renewed for mission and ministry in the world. We come together in person and by livestream, sharing music and prayers, our hopes and our dreams, our tears (sometimes) and our laughter (often).
Dress comfortably—you’ll see suits, dresses, jeans, and everything in between
Park along the street on Dranesville Rd. and enter through the set of double doors, or park in the back parking lot and walk around to the Dranesville entrance
Handicapped parking is available on the north side of the building; enter door 8 for elevator access to the sanctuary
CHILDREN & FAMILIES
Children in Worship
Children are genuinely welcomed into worship—snacks, stickers, noise, and all. Families know their children are not merely tolerated here; they are valued members of the church family.
Children of any age may remain with their parents for the duration of worship
Nursery care is available for our littlest ones and staffed by paid workers—ask an usher to direct you
Following the message for young people, elementary-age children are invited to Children’s Chapel for fun, crafts, and additional learning
Volunteers and nursery staff are trained and background-checked
YOU’VE GOT QUESTIONS, WE’VE GOT ANSWERS
Frequently Asked Questions
-
As you enter the hallway outside the sanctuary, called the Narthex, an usher will hand you a worship leaflet. This booklet contains everything you need to know to follow along with the service. If you aren’t sure what to do, don’t hesitate to ask a fellow worshiper for help or watch and follow others’ lead.
-
You can sit anywhere you feel comfortable. If it’s crowded, the ushers will help you find a seat. If you arrive once the service has begun, an usher will be happy to walk you to a seat.
-
The services generally last about an hour.

All baptized Christians are welcome at the Lord’s Table, also called communion or the Eucharist. We typically celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month and on other special days. There will be written and verbal instructions offered each time we come to the table. We always have grape juice available and a gluten-free option. Children are welcome at the Lord’s Table at their parents’ discretion.
-
As our guest, we encourage you to ask questions and seek information. In the hallway outside the sanctuary, called the narthex, there’s a place to provide any contact information you’d like to share. This allows the pastors and our Welcome Team to greet you more personally, address any questions you have, or help you get connected with people or ministries that interest you.
-
On the second Sunday of each month, near the end of the service, the pastors offer an “Invitation to Discipleship.” In addition to being a time for Trinity members and regulars to re-commit themselves to ministry at Trinity and in the world, we also invite guests and visitors to continue joining as active members of Trinity. For those wishing to join, there is a short meeting following worship involving the pastors and a couple of elders. The questions of membership are simple: is Jesus your Lord and Savior? Do you seek to follow in his ways? And will you seek to be a faithful member of Trinity, giving of yourself in the ways that you can?
We don’t require a membership class in order to join—we believe faith is “caught” more than “taught”—but we do provide Presbyterian 101 classes from time to time based on need and interest.

MEET THE TEAM
Come Say Hello
When you visit us for the first time, you’ll likely meet one of our pastors and/or a member of our Welcome Team who staffs our welcome table and keeps an eye out for guests. You’ll be given the opportunity to share any contact information you wish to share, so we can introduce ourselves following your visit, answer questions, and help you feel at home.
